Birthday Compability Calculator

Birthday Compatibility Calculator

Two birth dates, read through astrology and numerology at the same time.

Nothing is stored or sent anywhere. It runs entirely in your browser.

What this calculator does differently

Most birthday compatibility tools pick one system and stop there. This one runs two independent readings from the same pair of dates and shows both, along with a blended score.

  • Astrology compares the two sun signs, weighted at 45% of the result
  • Life path numbers compare the numerological reduction of each full date, weighted at 45%
  • Birthday numbers compare the day of the month on its own, weighted at 10%

The scores come from the same engines behind the zodiac compatibility calculator and the numerology love compatibility calculator, so entering the same two dates across all three tools gives consistent answers rather than three different ones.

When the two systems disagree

This is the part worth paying attention to, and most calculators hide it by averaging.

Astrology and numerology are unrelated systems built on unrelated logic. Astrology compares where two birth dates fall on a wheel of twelve signs. Numerology reduces the full date to a single number and compares those. There is no reason for them to agree, and often they do not.

A wide gap between the two readings usually points at something specific. A high astrology score with a low life path score tends to describe two people who get along easily day to day but want different things from the next ten years. The reverse, a low astrology score with a high life path score, often describes two people who want the same life but grate on each other in the kitchen.

Neither of those is a verdict. They are different problems, and knowing which one you have is more useful than a single averaged number.

What is a birthday number?

The birthday number is the day of the month you were born, reduced to a single digit. Born on the 23rd, your birthday number is 5. Born on the 8th, it stays 8.

It is the simplest number in numerology and the most commonly confused with the life path. The life path uses the whole date, month and year included, and describes the overall direction of a life. The birthday number ignores everything except the day and describes a specific talent or tendency you bring with you.

NumberDaysTendency
11, 10, 19, 28Independent and self-starting
22, 20Cooperative and sensitive to mood
33, 12, 21, 30Expressive and socially quick
44, 13, 31Methodical and dependable
55, 14, 23Restless and change-seeking
66, 15, 24Caring and responsibility-taking
77, 16, 25Private and analytical
88, 17, 26Ambitious and results-focused
99, 18, 27Generous and idealistic
1111, 29Intuitive and highly perceptive
2222Practical with unusually large ambitions

Note that 11, 22 and 29 do not reduce the usual way. 11 and 22 are master numbers and stay as they are, and 29 reduces to 11 rather than to 2.

Does the day of the week you were born mean anything?

Not in any measurable sense, but it is the oldest birthday tradition still in circulation, so the calculator includes it.

The Monday’s Child rhyme was first written down in the 1830s and assigns a trait to each weekday: Monday’s child is fair of face, Tuesday’s full of grace, Wednesday’s full of woe, Thursday’s has far to go, Friday’s is loving and giving, Saturday’s works hard for a living, and Sunday’s is bonny and blithe.

Earlier printed versions swap several of the days around, so even the tradition disagrees with itself. Treat it as trivia rather than a reading. Two people born on the same weekday is a genuinely uncommon coincidence worth noticing, though.

Do birthdays actually affect compatibility?

No, and it is worth saying plainly on a page like this one.

Large studies have looked for links between birth date and personality, and between birth date and relationship outcomes. They have not found them. The best-known research on what does predict whether couples last points at how people handle conflict, whether they turn toward each other in small everyday moments, and whether they share direction on the big questions. None of that is encoded in a date.

There is also a well-documented reason these readings feel accurate. Descriptions written in broad, mostly positive terms are read as personally true by almost everyone, an effect demonstrated repeatedly since the 1940s. A well-written life path description will feel like it was written about you no matter which number you got.

What a tool like this is legitimately good for is starting a conversation. “My birthday number says I need change and yours says you need routine” is a much easier opening than most versions of that discussion. Use the score as a prompt, not a prediction.

Frequently asked questions

How do you calculate birthday compatibility?

This calculator derives three things from each date: the sun sign, the life path number, and the birthday number. It scores each pairing separately, then blends them at 45% astrology, 45% life path and 10% birthday number.

What is the difference between a birthday number and a life path number?

The birthday number uses only the day of the month. The life path uses the full date including month and year. The life path is treated as the more significant of the two, which is why it carries far more weight in the score.

Is it good or bad to share a birthday with your partner?

Neither. Sharing a date means you share a sun sign and a birthday number, which usually raises the score, but shared traits mean shared blind spots as well as shared strengths. It also means one birthday to celebrate instead of two, which people tend to have strong opinions about.

Why do the astrology and numerology scores disagree?

Because they are unrelated systems measuring different things from the same date. A gap between them is normal and often more informative than the average, since it points at whether a couple’s friction is about daily rhythm or about long-term direction.

Does the year of birth matter?

For the life path, yes, since the year is part of the calculation. For the sun sign and the birthday number, no, only the month and day matter.

Can birthday compatibility predict a relationship?

No. There is no evidence that birth dates predict relationship outcomes. Treat the result as a conversation starter rather than a forecast.

Is my information saved?

No. Names are optional and only used to label the result on screen. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is stored or sent anywhere.
